A devastating injury for one of the NFL’s best wide receivers occurred on Sunday. New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers suffered a torn ACL and is out for the season. The injury occurred in the second quarter.

Attempting to make a leaping catch, he came down extremely awkwardly and grabbed his knee immediately. Initial reports indicate he suffered a torn ACL, but he will undergo further testing to confirm.

The Giants wide receiver room now consists of Wan’Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, and Jalin Hyatt. It is an even bigger loss for their rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who looked to Nabers as his security blanket. It will be interesting to see how this offense operates moving forward.
